“ I have now been to this establishment twice. On both occasions it has been a good experience. The cuisine here is classed as Persian. Each time I have been I ordered the kobeda however, the menu does contain some quite interesting alternatives. Kobedas  are a little like seekh kebabs without all the spice. They are made from mince and are very long and were cooked in the tandoor to retain the moisture. On the first visit I was hungry so went for the double but to be honest a single one is enough to satisfy most appetites I'd say. They were served on freshly made nann bread with separate salad and sauce which was pretty decent and included a dollop of hummus.  You are able to sit in or takeout and they said that they open until about 3 am! I would recommend this place if you fancy something a little bit different and are in the Rusholme area. ”

“ For those that worship at the altar that is Al Quds and all that is Kobeda holy, my visit here will register as nothing short of treason. But desperate times call for desperate measures. When you have a Kobeda craving and the place in question is closed, what is one to do? Luckily Rusholme has a variety of eateries to cater for all your tandoori oven sponsored carnivorous needs. I have to admit that although this isn't my first time here, I forgot that the menu is actually a bit more extensive than Al Quds (That's not blasphemy, Al Quds Kobeda is the BEST) There are a few nice fish dishes, as well as your standard lamb, beef, chicken regulars. Obviously I went for the Kobeda and it definitely proved a worthy adversary for the Al Quds Kobeda. Succulent and slightly larger in portion, both the Kobeda and naan were exceptional in quality. The only downside to the whole experience was the packaging of the salad. Containing two different yogurt sauces and hummus as well as a large variety of seasoned vegetables, the guy seemed to just bundle it all in the wrong plastic container. The result was that it looked less like a delicious salad more of a large blob of salad smoothie. It was delicious none the less even in this incarnation. The rice accompanying the fish were actually very well cooked. Al Quds remains the number one spot for a Kobeda but this place has its advantages. They are open till late, very late. The kind of late that spawns the "No where will be open at this time" narrative from an unsuspecting friend. I have a feeling I will indeed return to Kobeda place, perhaps to try the lamb chops. They looked delicious! So be sure to check out the review update when I do. Untill then, don't take my word for it go on your own Kobedabadabadooo adventure! ”

“ This is a cracking little place serving a wide selection of charcoals food for the kebab worshippers!! The place is clean, service friendly and attentive which makes you feel welcome! Nan bread is fresh with salad, chicken juicy and cooked perfect. The only thing I would say it that the kobedeh would benefit from a bit more flavour, however you can spice it up with sauces at the counter! This place defo better all round than Rusholme chippy and al quids on the same strip. All in all a cracking spot well visited by the locals and defo worth a trip for some great food! ”

“ I just feel strange how people have totally misjudged this place. Well I will call it a lack of experience. This place serves authentic Afghani food just reminds me of back home where most refugees would own Kabab shops selling kobeidah, kabuli pulau and seasoned al-faham. I do not want to sound condescending but I think the other reviewers has absolutely no clue about Afghani food and they just think everything is a kabab which is probably the biggest myth. The way the kobeda is done in this place is absolutely magical. It contains minced lab, onions, black pepper, salt and just pimped with samuk mmmmm just heaven. Frankly my day does not really pass if I do not visit this place. I have spent more than a year now in manchester and I would say 90 percent of the days I have just eaten here. Probably it just takes a whole experience and nostalgia to appreciate this place. Apart from food the staff is very friendly and funny. This is a great place I would give it a five star. There are other places on rusholme but as the staff is not that friendly therefore they give a sound being commercial than giving an authentic experience ”

“ Really average, as the reviews reflect. I do think they do a better than average Chicken Kebab, but in the main I must agree its nothing special. Its name attracted me because I though that by calling the place Kobeda Place they must do a lovely kobeda, but again, I thought it was average. To be fair, one thing I want to mention that might be of use, is that a few times I've notices its open later than some others. Having said that, this really does only apply in extreme circumstances as the curry miles doesn't really start shutting down till half past two or three in the morning and that include the sit-in restaurants. But if you are on a really late one, or a really early one (unlikely perhaps) then Kobeda Place may serve your purpose. Perhaps after Warehouse Project... ”
